Oh man, what a year. This is the first New Year's where I didn't spend the night at home watching the Twilight Zone and falling asleep early, thus I'm approaching 2013 with a sense of hope. New things are in the works for this year--both real variety and the vague illusory hints that were floating around in the horoscope I read. So here I am, telling you guys about it and hoping I don't sound like too much of a Plug-Machine.
First off, I will be part a staged reading for the Fertile Ground Festival, February 3rd. The play is called Whipped Cream and Freudian Dreams, written by Kate Horn and it's a great piece! I'm really excited to start rehearsals for it this weekend. Here's the link to the Fertile Ground Blurb, get your tickets and see me as the sassy barista who doesn't take crap from horny customers.
Nextly, Travel Home: A Story is in the works! Rafa has been meeting with each of the ensemble members individually, meanwhile I'm coordinating multimedia stories from our amazingly wonderful out of town collaborators. Now it's just a matter of embarking on the herculean journey to weave all of the source materials together into something awesome. Keep your eyes peeled for new developments, and if you haven't liked us on Facebook already, please do, I will bake you cookies!
Lastly, as you may or may not have noticed, I've got a brand spankin' new VO reel on my home page! Hooray! I'm happy to launch my fledgling Voiceover career as a supporting member of the cast of Civil Defense, a really well-written podcast about people surviving the apocalypse in Portland. So cool! It's not often that I get to be a part of my favorite genre (Post-apocalyptic Sci Fi...yeah, I know I'm weird) so I'm super excited.
All right, all right, enough plugs for now. Be sure to check back for further updates on these projects and come to see me, whydoncha?!
