BIO
Where I came from and where I'm going...
Lily Warpinski is an actor, writer, director, and the Artistic Director of The Honest Liars Theater Troupe. She has BFA in Theater from New York University, and studied Shakespeare at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. In New York, she was a member of S&P Productions and American Bard Theater, and also interned with Target Margin Theater. Two years ago she co-founded The Honest Liars and set about creating touring site-specific theater tailor fit for each community--their most recent show,Travel Home, A Story, enjoyed a residency at Water in the Desert in Portland last winter. Since arriving in the Pacific Northwest, she has been privileged to inhabit a bevy of interesting characters and help develop scripts for The Pulp Stage’s Pulp Prime reading series, as well as act in some short films, the feature film Holed Up, and the recurring web soap opera E-Baby for the ESL website Versation. Favorite Roles/Projects Include: Dir, The Honest Liars production of Waiting For Lefty, Olivia in Twelfth Night, Marina in Pericles, Prince of Tyre, Ferando (AKA Petruchio) in Taming of A Shrew at RADA, Costume design for Reasons to Be Pretty directed by William Sullivan, Michelle in Steadfast, and Aramanthe in Cécile, for which she received a nomination for Outstanding Actress at the Planet Connections Theatre Festivity.
