<![CDATA[Summer Approaches]]>Mon, 25 May 2015 22:48:19 GMThttp://lilywarpspeed.weebly.com/blog/summer-approaches
Hooray! Summer's finally here, guys! And I have some more great news to tell you! Firstly: I have a manager now as well as an agent! I recently signed with Credence Entertainment Northwest. The team there is awesome and I can't wait to work with them more.

Also, I have been cast in Two Noble Kinsmen with GreenStage--we'll be touring parks around the Seattle Metro area this July and August, check the website to see if we're coming to a park near you!

Planning a jaunt to Bainbridge Island in late June? Say the 20th & 21st? Stop by the library and see some theatre--I'm working on a reading of Blackbird by David Harrower with the wonderful Rozzella Kolbegger of Island Stage.

<![CDATA[Seattle, Here I am!]]>Sun, 29 Mar 2015 23:25:44 GMThttp://lilywarpspeed.weebly.com/blog/seattle-here-i-am
After an intense holiday adventure--roadtrips from Wisconsin to New Orleans and many places in between--I'm back in the Northwest and have taken up residence in The Emerald City (Seattle, WA). It's been a lovely three months since I moved out here and I'm quickly becoming enamored with my adopted city. I've been busy exploring the city and dipping my toes into creative waters, attending the Theatre Puget Sound General Auditions in February as well as starting work on a new Honest Liars piece about Seattle, Climate Change, and Family called Pluviculture. My TPS audition went well, and I'm happy to report that I am now represented by Mitchell Artist Management! Check out my portfolio page and make sure to keep an eye and an ear out for me (I'm auditioning for a bunch of commercials and voiceovers).

<![CDATA[Fall with The Pulp Stage]]>Thu, 13 Nov 2014 00:11:40 GMThttp://lilywarpspeed.weebly.com/blog/fall-with-the-pulp-stage
Now you know I love my Dystopian Fiction, so when the Artistic Director of The Pulp Stage, Matt Haynes, told me about the new trilogy they're developing for the 2015 Fertile Ground Festival called Box, I got super excited. Matt Haynes and Tina Connolly have done an amazing job with the script, and I'm happy to have been a part of the volunteer reading crew! If you're in Portland in early January GO SEE THIS SHOW! It's going to be phenomenal! Also, if you're feeling generous this holiday season, check out their Indiegogo (I'm in the video, doncha know!) they are so close to their goal and any little bit helps.

<![CDATA[Summer on the Islands]]>Thu, 14 Aug 2014 20:52:02 GMThttp://lilywarpspeed.weebly.com/blog/summer-on-the-islands
After a much needed sojurn abroad, I came back to the states at the end of May to discover an amazing opportunity had fallen into my lap. Enter Island Stage Left, a theater company located on San Juan Island in the middle of Puget Sound and seemingly the most gorgeous location for outdoor Shakespeare ever conceived.

I am playing OLIVIA in their production of Twelfth Night, set in Downton Abbey-style high society.

It's been an amazing summer! I've met some great people, seen great beauty and done so many exciting things! We have been performing the show for almost a full month now, starting out with a tour of the outer islands where we were treated to interesting audiences, generous hosts and a whole slew of adventures. Now we're on the last two weekends of the show, back on our home turf and ready to make some people laugh! If you're in the area or want to have a brief respite from your hectic life, we will be performing at 1062 Wold Rd on San Juan Island at 8:15 Friday, Saturday and Sunday this weekend (8/15) and next weekend (8/22) Come check it out!

<![CDATA[Travel Home, A Story]]>Sat, 08 Mar 2014 19:05:42 GMThttp://lilywarpspeed.weebly.com/blog/travel-home-a-storyPicture
Whew! What a whirlwind few months! Well, Travel Home, A Story, the show that my theater company has been working on for the past year, had its workshop debut at The Headwaters Theatre two weeks ago and we got some really interesting responses. A local author, Greg Lamb, wrote a wonderful blog entry about it and we were one of Willamette Week's Headout Picks for the weekend of Feb 21st!

And don't think we're stopping there--Oh No! After a little break, the collaborators will reconvene and tweak the script, then we're heading down to New Orleans in November for the Fringe. I have put my heart and soul into this project and I am so happy to continue working on it, I'm really proud of what all of us have accomplished.

As part of the marketing and general world-creation for the show, I started producing podcasts as well--you should check 'em out, they're pretty fun to listen to.

<![CDATA[Summer Heats Up]]>Wed, 17 Jul 2013 00:00:44 GMThttp://lilywarpspeed.weebly.com/blog/summer-heats-up Picture
Pardon the boring pun, but it be toasty here in Portland, folks! Luckily, I have been able to keep cool while busily working away on my projects!

A few weeks ago I was part of the first cast of Pulp Stage's "Pocket Pulp: Sci Fi Night." It was a night of well-written, short science fiction plays in a low-key setting at the Jack London Bar in Downtown Portland. I happily played many different characters, among them an alien looking for love, a robot waitress, and a southern sister who writes complaint letters to the moon. It was wonderful to work with Pulp Stage and we had a blast at rehearsal (see the picture for proof).

Also, Travel Home, A Story is moving along quite nicely! Our new full cast has been workshopping its little heart out--we are pleased to announce that The Honest Liars is one of Water in the Desert's Winter Residents and we'll be doing a workshop performance of Travel Home in February. The Pirate, the Gypsy, the Runaway, and Jack Kerouac have also taken to the big screen! We filmed a short using the main characters from the piece and it turned out magnificently! We're in the editing phase with it now, so make sure to take a peek back soon to see what it looks like!
Take a look below at some of my favorite photos from our Production Photo Shoot, and make sure you take a look at The Honest Liars

<![CDATA[Spring Has Sprung!]]>Fri, 10 May 2013 00:52:10 GMThttp://lilywarpspeed.weebly.com/blog/spring-has-sprungPicture
Hooray for spring! With this gorgeous weather here in Portland, it's easy to be hopeful and excited about the coming warm weather and the stoking of those creative passions that were dormant over the winter.

Speaking of PASSION--I have the grand pleasure to be a part of a multimedia extravaganza: The Match.com Monologues directed by the wonderful Connery MacRae, which plays the weekends of May 10th and May 17th at 8pm. It's a witty and fun romp through the world of online dating and I was happy to play the role of one of the hero, Carl's, friends, the slightly nuts but very loveable Susan! Get your tix HERE!

As far as other projects are concerned, we've wrapped the latest season of EBaby, where things start heating up around the office--check out current episodes HERE and brush up on some English idioms.

Travel Home, A Story is gearing up for a more extensive workshop period, we've added some new cast members and will be turning out some awesome video content, check back for updates on that front or check out the Honest Liars Website to see what's going on!

<![CDATA[The Headlong Plunge into the Film World!]]>Mon, 18 Feb 2013 17:00:00 GMThttp://lilywarpspeed.weebly.com/blog/the-headlong-plunge-into-the-film-worldPicture
Well friends, I surely have been busy these days. Since my last post I booked three film gigs that I am SUPER excited about!

I just finished shooting yesterday for a student film directed by Steve Poole called "Intersection." It's about 7 women and the moments in their lives that directly lead to a multi-car pileup in a busy intersection. I'm playing Erika, an overworked pizza delivery driver who's just about had it with her job and runs one too many red lights.

Coming up in March, I'll be shooting my very first feature length film, an interesting take on the underbelly of fame and fortune called "Holed-Up." I'll be making a cameo as Grace, the fan girl who was tempted by her friend Katie into becoming a paparazzi. The piece is directed by local film maker Montetré, who has a bunch of fun films on his Imdb page.

I will also be making my debut on the web as the newest cast member of EBaby! the ESL soap opera. This is a really fun project, I've already shot a bunch of episodes for them as well as recorded some voiceover lessons. This is a really unique opportunity and I'm really happy to be a part of it, playing Lily, the new young assistant.

Welp, that's about all I have for you guys at present. As far as theater goes, I'm chugging along with "Travel Home," we have a bunch of new collaborators on board and you should expect some new content on Facebook and the website very soon!
